positive:
Free parking in the centre of Rochester.
A number of guests comment on how convenient having a free, private car park is, as it seems as though parking in the middle of Rochester can be tricky.
positive:
Clean sheets and towels.
Bed linens and towels do seem to be clean on the whole, with a few guests commenting on the perfectly white towels and spotless bed sheets. There don’t seem to be any complaints regarding the sheets and towels themselves.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Dirty, dusty bedrooms.
A number of guests complain of dusty surfaces and carpets throughout the hotel, and of dirty, mouldy bathrooms. Cleaning and maintenance standards seem to be very low, with a number of reports of broken fixtures and fittings, and non-working TVs.
negative:
Poor customer service.
Whilst there are some positive reviews regarding the reception staff, the majority of reviews claim that customer service is very poor. There is, reportedly, no one on reception, and guests are required to call the hotel in order to check in. Guests also comment that check-in closes early and promptly, meaning that guests forfeit their rooms if they are delayed.
negative:
Loud bar beneath the rooms.
The hotel bar seems to be a bar/night club, and is reportedly only open on Friday and Saturday nights. Guests complain that noise from the bar continues long into the night, and that music is very loud.
