Houston; you have a problem
The hotel is well situated for Houston attractions and restaurants. It's warm and welcoming and the rooms are well decorated and fitted out. The problem is not with the hotel but with Houston itself. The place has little of interest to attract the average visitor.
negative:
The unprofessionals.
They advertise a tariff rate, then try to wriggle out of it. Ultimately and as a last resort, they'll add to their original error by cancelling the booking, made in good faith by the paying guest, who has now disappeared, never to return. They have been known to become aggressive too when faced with complaints. A bit amateurish. Still, there are other hotels to stay in next time!
negative:
Free wine, but expensive water
The free wine flows freely on the weekly wine nights, but if you want a non-alcoholic alternative - even water!-be prepared to pay a hefty price. More moans; the WiFi signal is free, but patchy and the gymnasium is in a separate building so, depending on the weather, you can get soaked to the skin just getting there.
