Beach resort experience on a budget
The rooms here may be basic, but this Ramada location provides guests with a beach resort experience on a budget. The two stand-out amenities here are the pool area and the seaside access. Everyone seemed to love the tropical grotto vibe of the former (especially the bar!) and for those who wanted to dip their toes in the Gulf, this hotel just can't be beat.
positive:
Helpful front desk
Many visitors also raved about the staff here, who appear to nothing but friendly and helpful. Whether you're after extra shampoo or a good place to eat, it seems that nothing too much trouble. Past guests note that staff excellence has always been a feature of this particular hotel, so it's great to see that some things stay the same.
positive:
Superbly located
This hotel was so well-equipped that some didn't even feel the need to leave during their stay. However, those who strayed beyond that enchanting pool area were delighted to find a number of restaurants, shops and attractions very close to this property.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Old-fashioned feeling
For past guests, the retro look and feel of this place is all part of its charm, but newcomers tend to see this Ramada location with fresher eyes. For them, this property is in sore need of an update, a refresh that will make it feel less like a motel.
negative:
No free breakfast
There is breakfast here, but to the annoyance of many, it is available only for an add-on fee.
negative:
Small bathrooms
This perhaps goes along with the old-fashioned look and feel of the place, but bathrooms here are rather small. While many were perfectly serviceable, some reported issues with slow drainage.
