The staff at this hotel are beyond compare in that they are so helpful and willing to go out of their way to make sure that you will have a great stay. They also have plenty of advice to offer you regarding the local area and the best places to visit.

For a small hotel in the country this place is extremely comfortable and offers surprisingly good facilities. From free parking to free Wi-Fi, all the mod cons are there but in a very traditional setting.

If you’re expecting a quiet country retreat then this is probably not the right place. The noise from the traffic is quite intrusive which is a big surprise. The rooms aren’t soundproofed so you’ll surely hear some cars passing by early in the morning.

If you’re planning to use the internet to do any work during your stay then you may feel rather frustrated. Some guests have noted that the Wi-Fi doesn’t work at all unless you are in the main building right by reception. Not an ideal situation.

The food in the restaurant is quite good but, unfortunately, the food in the pub fails to live up to expectations. The staff are also a little slow to get your food out so some have complained of cold food.
