The Cotton Sail Hotel Savannah - Tapestry Collection by Hilton (Savannah, USA)

The hotel is a just a short walk away from the Savannah riverwalk with its many shops, bars and restaurants. Guests were pleased to find that they could reach the local bars and cafes without having to drive and many also took advantage of the hotel's location and visited some of the numerous local tourist attractions which are also within walking distance.

Although the building is old, the rooms have been described as modern and recently decorated. Guests appreciated the tasteful decor including the quality furniture and wooden floors as well as the generous size of their accommodation. All the rooms have balconies and many enjoyed sitting outside admiring the views.

Guests were complimentary about all the members of staff at the hotel including the bellman who helped many of the guests with their luggage. The front-desk staff were said to be courteous and polite, offering helpful advice to the guests with regards to the local area.

Some of the rooms look out onto the busy River Street and guests said that they found the level of noise quite intrusive. Many were reluctant to open their balcony doors in the evenings due to the excessive noise. If you are a light sleeper it's advisable to ask for rooms that are not facing the street.

Several issues with regards to housekeeping were reported by the guests including the fact that their toiletries were not replenished and that rooms were not serviced on a daily basis.

Some guests were disappointed to find that the hotel doesn't offer breakfast and room-service although there are lots of restaurants and cafes in the vicinity.
