Hotel The DeSoto (Savannah, USA)

The hotel is situated in Savannah's Historic District with many popular attractions like The Olde Pink House and the Owens-Thomas House within walking distance. Guests noted that the location makes it easy to shop at one of the nearby grocery stores or grab a delicious meals at one of the many restaurants.

Guests noted that the staff was friendly, professional and quite accommodating, providing plenty of local information such as maps and restaurant recommendations. The concierge services were reported to be wonderful, as guests were able to book great tours and receive discounts they hadn't even been aware of.

Guests liked the large rooftop pool, which provides views of the city and offers a nice place to relax and unwind.

As guests reported, there is a significant amount of traffic surrounding the hotel, and the rooms don't seem to offer too much soundproofing, since you might be able to hear the noise especially at night. They also stated that they were able to hear other guests' conversations next to and above their rooms.

According to guests, the rooms could use some renovating, as they appear a bit outdated with worn furniture. They also noted that there is almost no room to store your luggage, and a few guests reported that the mattresses sag too much.
