Staff give a good impression here, and deal with clients professionally and in a friendly and helpful manner, going out of their way to make guests' stay enjoyable, and taking pride in their hotel and its history. Check-in and check-out were easy and pleasant operations. The location is good, being close to shops, the hospital and restaurants, including the hotel's own Tony Roma Restaurant. .

Noises Off
The sound of the air conditioning disturbed some guests, and a bathroom fan was silent: it did not work! Some guests found the pool too cold and the tub too hot.

There is a lack freshness to what is an attractive hotel: the air air strikes one as moldy, on entering the reception area, and the tap water does not taste fresh. A comprehensive freshening up is suggested by some guests. .

All in all there appears to be something of a lack of maintenance. The parking area is in need of repairs, some guests found that the air conditioning did not work well, and an entrance card into room had to be revived by reception every time. Machines in the fitness room were not working. Beds seem to be old and a noisy bathroom door needed fixing: the sum of these issues does not leave guests with a good impression. .
