Taychreggan Hotel (Kilchrenan, United Kingdom)

Most of the guests agreed that this hotel is ideal for a romantic getaway for couples who love peaceful and serene locations. The suites have a seating by the window with a view across loch. Many couples celebrated their anniversaries and Valentine's Day here. The front sitting area of the rooms was great to sit with a drink over a chat. Couples could also take the relaxing massage treatment and Jacuzzi bath.

Breakfast is delicious with a good variety to choose from. It included bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, black pudding, eggs, potato scones and fresh fruit. The five-course dinners are lovely and a treat for the taste buds. The portions are just right and the service is very prompt. Bar offers a good selection of ales, lagers and wines. They also accommodate dietary requirements.

Guests loved the helping gesture extended by the staff members. They went out of their way to ensure that everything was perfect for guests. Dining room staff was also very good and well-trained.

The Wi-Fi connection was available only in certain areas of the hotel and totally absent in the rooms. This made it very difficult to work online.

The parking, which is at the rear end of the hotel, is very inconvenient. Guests felt that having the onsite parking at a suitable place would have been better.

The damp marks on the ceiling and walls suggested that the hotel was in need of a refurbishment. It gave a very unpleasant patchy look to the hotel.
