Skuggi is said to have a very central location for walking to Hallgrimskirkja, the Reykjavik city centre and the waterfront, as well as getting stuck into the wide variety of restaurants and shopping on offer in Laugavegur.

Those who stayed here said the decor was fantastic, the facilities modern, and a high level of comfort reported from the simple, but clean and well-heated rooms; which guests said had cosy beds and plenty of space on offer. The underground parking was also much appreciated by guests for its convenience.

According to reviews, the staff here proved to be courteous, welcoming and very accommodating, especially with helping to recommend places to visit and eat, as well as assisting with making tour bookings for things like aurora chasing. The selection of high quality fare at the breakfast buffet was thought to be great, and included cooked and continental options, with the restaurant fare also coming recommended.

A few Skuggi guests mentioned that there can be some noise from certain rooms — seemingly the lower ones — so keep this in mind if you are a light sleeper, but also the fact that the vast majority of people did not have any issues.
