Positive Reviews
positive:
Pleasant, relaxed vibe.
Icelandair Reykjavik Natura is unique in several ways, including the fact that it's the only hotel in Reykjavik that boasts an indoor swimming pool. But perhaps its most important distinction is the exceptionally relaxed atmosphere that permeates the hotel. The hotel's location in the quiet woods of öskjuhlíd Hill imparts a serene vibe to it. A walk to town, however, is just 20 minutes from the hotel. .
positive:
Clean decent-sized rooms.
The hotel is tastefully designed with rooms that are decent-sized, clean, and very cozy. The rooms are comfortably furnished with designer toiletries and adorned with peculiar yet highly interesting Icelandic art on the walls that gives them a very homely feel. .
positive:
Wonderful people, great hospitality.
The people of Iceland have reputation for being warm and honest, and the staff here is not any different. Every staff member, including concierge services, is very warm and accommodating and cannot seem to do enough to make guests feel comfortable during their stays. .
Negative Reviews
negative:
Long queues during check-ins.
The popularity of the hotel with both locals and tourists, unfortunately, also means that lines at check-ins and check-outs can be quite long. This is particularly vexing for business travelers with tight schedules. .
negative:
Overbooking quite common.
Again because of the popularity of Icelandair Reykjavik Natura, the hotel is sometimes unable to honor all reservations and ended up booking visitors to other hotels, some of which a few guests have complained failed to meet the hotel's high standards. .
negative:
Uncomfortable beds.
A few guests have reported that while the rooms are clean and well-maintained, the beddings are not very comfortable with the pillows being too soft. Some complained that the sound-proofing in the rooms is inadequate. .
