Friendly, capable staff and good coffee...
The front desk team have received very positive reviews, with many guests describing them as very friendly, polite, and helpful. Many are also fluent in English or other languages. The complimentary coffee bar in the lobby is widely appreciated, too.
positive:
Compact but well equipped rooms...
Guests widely describe the rooms as small and narrow yet very clean and efficiently laid out, with all the necessities in the kitchenette and simple, modern decor.
positive:
A well connected location...
The hotel is very well located for guests travelling by air or rail: the Air France bus from CDG stops at the Montparnasse railway station, and guests find they can easily walk to the hotel from there, even with luggage. It is also close to three Metro stations, putting all the top tourist attractions within easy reach, as well as pretty well anywhere else in Paris you might like to go.
Negative Reviews
negative:
The Murphy Beds are uncomfortable for some...
Though some rooms offer traditional double beds, it seems the majority are fitted with Murphy beds that you pull down from the wall. Many guests find these beds uncomfortable to sleep on, and do not like the bother of pulling the bed up and down, yet note with the bed in the 'down' position there is very little room to walk around.
negative:
Stay off the street...
Several guests have found that the rooms facing the street need better soundproofing. Others are troubled by weak Wi-Fi or low water pressure.
negative:
Nobody's perfect...
Though many individual team members receive very positive reviews, others are marked down for indifferent customer service, and it seems some are not as proficient in English, a frustration for some international travellers with little-to-no French.
