Yet, within driving distance, is Hollywood's Universal Studios, accessible enough for a day trip. So the location really does offer the best of both worlds - a quiet stay in the mountains of California, yet close enough to sample the best of big city life. There are also many supermarkets in the locality.

That's how the staff members are described by some of the past guests. They are friendly, well-trained professionals with a strong customer service ethic, who are ready to go all out to ensure the comfort of the guests.

Some of the guests have complained about the absence of a coffee maker in the room, as many people need to be able to brew their own coffee instead of having to go out and buy it. However, coffee is available in the office from 7 am to 10 am, which really helps.

A guest pointed out that the shower was improperly mounted and had no pressure in it, which was disappointing.

There are signs which indicate that a refurbishment is in order, such as worn carpets and furniture, and a slightly dated look.
