positive:
Excellent dining
Whether dining in the Jacobean Bar or the 1610 Steak Restaurant, guests are complimentary about the quality of the food and the standard of service on offer. Guests who wanted to dine in the room appreciated the option to order room service.
positive:
Polite and friendly service
The staff at the Best Western Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel receive plenty of praise from guests, many of whom couldn't fault the service at all. Those who attended functions often comment that the event was well organised and went without a hitch.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Noisy functions
While functions at the hotel appear to be well managed and enjoyable, they also create a fair amount of noise. Guests who weren't attending the function sometimes seem to be allocated a room above the function area - a sleepless night ensued.
negative:
Restaurant not always open
Several guests were looking forward to sampling the menu in the 1610 Steak Restaurant. Unfortunately, it seems that it is closed a fair amount of the time or, at least, reserved for a function. It's best to confirm availability to avoid disappointment.
negative:
Some issues in the bar
A number of reviews indicate that you may find the bar area is a little on the small side, although a bigger problem seems to be the high prices of drinks. Also, guests sometimes mention that the bar staff could do with some more training. Having an unopened bottle of wine with no glasses placed on your table doesn't seem uncommon.
