Resort Golden Tulip Gdańsk Residence (Gdańsk, Poland)

While many guests seemed to enjoy their stay at the Golden Tulip Residence, it was those with younger children who sang its praises most enthusiastically. While facilities for children were not said to be extensive, there was a dedicated play area, and the staff and general atmosphere tended to be welcoming towards families.

Many guests had at least a little bit to say about the beach in their reviews. While obviously not of the same type as exists in warmer climes, guests nonetheless found it a very attractive place to suntan and take long walks.

The pool and spa area was definitely guests' favourite part of the hotel. The pool, while small, was still appreciated, and a number of guests had very soothing beauty and therapeutic treatments in the spa. Rates were said to be very reasonable.

While most realised when booking that they would be some distance from the city centre, others did not. Some of these were disappointed that they had a pretty long way to travel if they wanted to absorb the history and atmosphere there.

While families loved that their children were very much welcome and catered for, a hotel with many young children is not going to be a quiet place. A number of guests mentioned that the younger children could be quite boisterous, as children are, and that they created quite a bit of noise.

While they did also receive some compliments, quite a number of guests said that staff members were not really fully engaged, and so did not properly help them with their issue or query.
