Pavilion Hotel (Avalon, USA)

Most of the rooms have their own patios with chairs and tables where guests can enjoy their morning coffee. The hotel also has a landscaped garden which has plenty of lounging chairs and a cozy open fire which attracted many guests in the evenings who would gather together and enjoy the complimentary happy-hour.

The hotel is conveniently located just a few steps away from the beach as well as the pier. Although there is no restaurant on-site, guests were pleased to find that they could walk to some of the numerous cafes and bars as well as visit the local shops and boutiques without having to drive or get public transport.

Guests complimented the cleanliness of their rooms and many also appreciated the daily turn down service with complimentary bottles of water and chocolates on the pillows. The rooms were said to be equipped with all the necessary mod-cons including fridges and quality coffee makers.

The suites have been described as being quite small with guests stating that the website pictures led them to believe that their accommodation would be significantly bigger. Guests objected to the lack of storage space and not having enough room to move around.

Those who wanted to connect to the internet from their rooms said that they experienced difficulties due to the weak and intermittent Wi-Fi signal. Many took their devices closer to the reception area in order to connect.

The air-conditioning units were described as quite dated, and guests said that they found it difficult to control the temperature and also objected to the loud noise of the units when switched on.
