Positive Reviews
positive:
Lakefront location
This hotel is a great location, especially for the affordable price of a downtown city hotel located so close to the lakefront. It is in a nice neighborhood which is quiet, but close enough to arenas, restaurants, and other nightlife to make it convenient.
positive:
Views and ambiance
The rooftop patio has great views, especially at night. The lounge also has a great atmosphere. Plus, this location is within walking distance to bars and is quite close to local breweries.
positive:
Beds and breakfasts
The rooms are well-maintained, clean, and spacious with comfortable beds. The breakfast bar is also of nice quality and the staff works with efficiency and friendliness.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Parking is a headache
The parking leaves a lot to be desired. While there is a lot onsite, it is quite costly per day and the space is very limited. Plus, the hotel notifies guests that leaking water might leave lime stains on the vehicles. Leaving the lot, though, means you'll have to find a spot on the local streets.
negative:
Customer service is lacking
If the hotel is busy, customer service representatives seem to be overwhelmed and do not give full attention to concerns and requests. Management is largely absent and rarely contacts guests over complaints or issues. Basically, if you have a problem while you're there, even with billing problems, it is unlikely you'll get it resolved quickly.
negative:
Running hot or cold
Since the hotel is a refurbished Comfort Inn and Suites, much of the old hardware and wiring is the same. That makes air conditioning problematic. The air will run only hot or cold, making it difficult to find that comfortable spot.
