Hotel The Astor (Milwaukee, USA)

This hotel is quite historic and will be a century old in 2020. Many guests are impressed by its vintage façade and décor within which hints at days gone by. They find it exciting to spend the night in a piece of Milwaukee's history.

If you value convenience, then this hotel is ideal as it is perfectly located about halfway between the marina and the Art Museum. It's easy to walk to anywhere from this hotel, but if you're feeling tired, then there is a regular shuttle that serves the local area.

The staff at this hotel are on top of their customer service game. While they might not be able to offer as many services as some high-end hotels, they try their best to keep all of their guests happy. This makes all that visit feel incredibly welcome.

There is something quite vintage about this old place, but guests aren't too impressed by it. They have found that the rooms smell like they haven't been aired properly and that there are more than a few areas where there are obvious problems with damp.

Some guests were a little disappointed to find a room that was barely big enough for a couple to sit and watch TV in comfort. It means that during your stay you will feel more inclined to head out rather than to stay in your room which might not be a bad thing.

It seems that after many years of providing meals and drinks to both locals and guests, the hotel management has decided to close the bar. It only opens now for private events which is a shame as guests would like a drink before bedtime.
