Located in Ashley Cross, The Ox is a bar and restaurant, which offers boutique hotel accommodation to visitors to Poole in Dorset. With few exceptions, most guests here were impressed with the Wi-Fi, which works really well most of the time. The hotel is very clean and tidy and bathrooms are reportedly ‘spotless’.
The Ox is in an excellent location for guests who are travelling between Poole and Bournemouth. The location is also appreciated because of its proximity to shops and interesting local attractions.

The Ox is a busy pub and restaurant. There is quite a bit of noise in the premises until the pub closes at 11 pm. The street noise is also reported to be quite loud, and apparently the building can shake if a lorry goes by.
The pub car park is quite crowded and it is necessary to reverse a long way to get out, which can be inconvenient. A public car park is available across the road from the hotel, a much better parking option.
