About Fleetwater Guest House
Situated just a mile from Poole town centre, Fleetwater Guest House offers accommodation in a small property right on the main road into Poole.
The elegantly furnished rooms are all en-suite, and feature flat screen TV’s, tea/coffee stations, blackout curtains, in-room safes and hairdryers.
Fleetwater is a fairly small property, so does not have many public facilities. There is a dining room that guests are welcome to use, as well as a fridge and toaster. For a quiet evening in, there are also board games available.
Proper breakfast is not served at the guest house, but there is free toast and cereal available. For other meals, the hosts will be happy to offer their own personal dining recommendations.
Poole Railway Station is about a mile away, and is easily accessible via bus. The guest house is a convenient base for exploring the Dorset coast and the New Forest. Sandbanks Beach is less than four miles away.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Friendly and hard working host
The owner and host at the property, Louise, is universally praised for her friendliness and welcoming attitude. She is described as very hard working, but more than that, actually putting her heart and soul into running the guest house.
positive:
Lovely little touches
Perhaps what most impressed guests were the little touches they observed. Again and again they mention that their rooms were supplied with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits, but not at all in a cheeseparing fashion. There was always an abundant supply available.
positive:
Great pub just down the road
While there is no cooked breakfast available at the guest house, there is a complimentary spread of cereals and toast laid out every morning that seemed to be more than enough for most guests. For other meals they rave about the local pub just down the road, where the food and atmosphere are both rated as excellent.
