The splendour of this beautiful country home can't be discounted but despite the historic nature of the property, many of the rooms have been modernised. As a result, guests feel they can enjoy the grand surroundings without losing out on modern conveniences.

The quality of food and the standard of the service at the on-site Comfy Duck restaurants certainly seems to impress guests. Many guests comment that the meal they enjoyed there was cooked to perfection. A couple of guests found it a bit pricey, but there are few other criticisms.

For some guests, the attached modern annexe ruins the look of the hotel somewhat. Plus, if you stay in one of the annexe rooms, you have to leave the main hotel to get to your room. Unsurprisingly, guests would prefer easier access.
