Nunsmere Hall Hotel (Northwich, United Kingdom)

The hotel is surrounded by extensive gardens and woodland including a 60 acre lake. Guests were extremely impressed with hotel’s surroundings and many enjoyed sitting out on the terrace and taking in the stunning views. The picture-postcard setting has made this hotel a very popular wedding reception venue.

Many of the guests were impressed with the size of their rooms saying the they resembled suites with large beds, a seating area and ample storage space. The added extras such as complimentary bottles of water and fluffy robes were also greatly appreciated.

The dishes served at the hotel’s restaurants have been highly praised by the majority of the guests. Many complimented the quality of the ingredients and the efforts to use locally sourced produce. Guests were also impressed with the choice on offer at breakfast stating that the cooked dishes were extremely tasty.

Some of the guests were critical of the overall decor of their rooms, describing it as rather tired and dated. Peeling wallpaper, old fashioned furniture and worn carpets were just some of the criticisms of the guests who felt that the rooms are in need of modernisation.

The service at the on-site bar left many guests unimpressed as they had to wait longer than expected to receive their orders. Guests were also critical of the fact that the bar was often unmanned which meant that they had to go in search of the staff.

Guests who stayed at the hotel during warmer weather complained of the high temperatures in their rooms as there are no air conditioning units. Although fans are provided, many found them inadequate in cooling down their rooms.
