Nordurey hotel Reykjavik Road (Hafnarfjörður, Iceland)

The local area is nice enough and very relaxing. There are no real sights to be seen, but if you want a small town feeling, then this could be your spot. The public bus stop right outside the front door takes you into the city or to the Blue Lagoon.

The housekeeping staff do their best to keep this place in tip-top condition. It's immaculate throughout and you won't find a speck of dust anywhere. It's wonderful for guests to arrive back after a day of exploring to find a nice and clean room.

The people that work here are full of useful information and will gladly help you out when you are planning your day trips. They have also helped a few guests that had problems when group tours didn't arrive to pick them up.

While this hotel might only be a ten-minute drive from Reykjavik, there's not much to do around the hotel other than eat and drink. There are no major tourist attractions within walking distance meaning that you'll need a car otherwise it's public transport to get anywhere.

Nobody really expects a hotel in Iceland to be cheap, but many that stay here are still surprised at the expense of this place. The drinks and food cost a lot, and the room seems to be priced as if it was in the city centre.

If you are unfortunate enough to arrive during a busy time, then you may get put in the annex. This building is a short walk from the main hotel but has no facilities at all. Guests feel upset that they have to walk to the main building for breakfast.
