The staff are very friendly and efficient and are willing to help guests with whatever needs they may have. The staff at reception are also friendly and courteous which makes checking-in and checking-out quite quick and easy.

The food provided is quite good although it can be pricey. The on-site bar also has a nice cosy atmosphere and is a nice place to relax with a drink.

The rooms are accessible only by climbing up two very steep flights of winding staircases as the hotel does not have a lift. This fact means that this is perhaps not the best hotel to stay in for guests who have mobility issues.

Although there is an on-site car park which offers free parking to guests it operates on a first come first serve basis which means parking is not guaranteed. Due to its small size the car park is also very often full and guests may have to pay for parkin

The décor in the rooms and in certain parts of the hotel seem rather dated and things like the carpets, some fixtures and certain fittings could do with updating. The tired room décor is unfortunately out of keeping with the downstairs reception area and
