Positive Reviews
positive:
Terrific central location
The hotel is located just to the north of the town centre, but most guests seemed quite happy with the location, saying that it was a relatively simple matter to walk everywhere they cared to be in the town itself, with the hot weather, perhaps, being the only limiting factor.
positive:
Great views over the mountains
Guests were clearly impressed with the views over the Red Mountains. Of course, most had travelled to the region for the scenery and southwestern atmosphere, and were quite happy that the beautiful mountain outlook delivered on this desire.
positive:
Excellent staff all round
Guests mentioned again and again that the staff at the hotel were exceptional. Many singled out two people, Samantha and Jessica, who were thought to be the owners, as being especially friendly and helpful.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Air conditioners struggled with the heat
A number of guests indicated that the air conditioning units seemed to struggle with the blazing dessert heat. While the main complaint was simply that they were very loud, making it difficult to sleep when they were on, some also said that they did not adequately cool their rooms.
negative:
Rooms were a bit dated
A number of guests did not find the somewhat retro design charming, saying that they felt the rooms were very dated and would benefit from a refresh, at least, and perhaps even a full renovation.
negative:
Could be a bit pricey
It seems that a number of guests travelling at popular times felt the rooms were a bit pricey. They felt that, given the fairly basic nature of the facilities on offer, the room rate was not justified, no matter how busy the town was at that time.
