Close to downtown Anchorage but minutes from Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, many found this hotel to be ideally situated for getting into and out of the city. This accommodation is basic, but it proved to be popular with those on a quick stopover through Anchorage.

While the surrounding neighborhood may not be to everyone's taste, once inside the hotel, guests were pleased to note that rooms were fairly clean and comfortable. Many liked the layout of individual rooms, which were relatively spacious. Additionally, the reception team here is friendly, keen to offer assistance and a cup of fresh, hot coffee to guests - a little perk that made a big impact on new arrivals.

Negative Reviews
negative:
Unsavory surrounds and unwelcome guests
Guests who know the Spenard area were quick to point out that this neighborhood isn't necessarily to everyone's liking. For some, this was a cause of discomfort and did have a considerable impact on their guest experience. Some felt that the rundown exterior of the building gave it a rather spooky feel. Additionally, there were unfortunately some reports of bed bugs and fleeting sightings of rodents at this property.
negative:
Interior TLC needed
While there was no visible dirt or grime in rooms, there were multiple reports of foul odors and stained carpeting here. This only seemed to add to the down-at-heel ambience of this property.
negative:
Hefty fee for incidentals
Finally, this hotel levies a considerable fee for incidentals, something that attracted much ire from guests.
