Positive Reviews
positive:
Staff is as lovely as the rest of the place.
The staff are wonderful reflections of their setting, displaying genuine interest and happiness towards making your stay as great as possible. They're attentive to all of the guests, human and canine, and do what they can so that everyone is comfortable, fulfilled, and hopefully eager to return.
positive:
Fantastic menu beginning with the breakfast.
Breakfast is a lovely introduction to the skills, ingredients, and portions that the rest of the menu offers. The other dishes get just as much praise, and are more valued because of the convenience of the onsite restaurant and bar.
positive:
Charming place that's a real gem to discover.
Despite its proximity to the train station, Min y Mor has time and again been unexpectedly discovered by people who have travelled through Barmouth. It's a pleasant discovery, and one that many continue to remember and go to when in the region.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Be prepared for creaky floors and thin walls.
As it often befalls aged buildings, the floors and walls here do not buffer much sounds. You will hear creaking, squeaking, and almost every substantial noise within the halls, between the rooms, and from the bar. Have ear plugs handy.
negative:
Beds are not as soft and comfortable for everyone.
The beds are criticised for not being as plush and cosy as hoped for, at a quaint bed and breakfast. They're too firm and not very comfortable for stretching out, thus creating a disruption to getting a full and relaxing sleep.
negative:
Rooms are over-rated and should look better.
Pricing for the rooms comes into question, based upon the lacklustre impression that the décor and furnishings present. It's too worn and dated, and should have more vibrancy. The bathrooms are also as bland, and should have brighter and more updated fixtures.
