Positive Reviews
positive:
Good quality rooms and service.
Everyone is very friendly and attentive. Beds are comfortable and the rooms are well decorated and designed. If there is a fault it is that the service sometimes- and mainly in the restaurant- can be a bit OTT on occasions. Better that way though, rather than no service.
positive:
A clean sweep in North Wales.
The guest accommodation and the public areas are spotlessly clean and have the added benefit of Wi-Fi … plus free, secure, parking. Add to the mix some really palatable coffee and the appeal of this quaint hotel (and town) … is obvious.
positive:
A quiet night.
This is a town centre location so you do expect some night-time noise. This isn't the case though. Everything is quiet and a good night's sleep is virtually guaranteed.
Negative Reviews
negative:
This ‘Ship' has sailed ...
It needs upgrading in terms of signals for both the TV and the Wi-Fi, both of which are not up to scratch. In today's world, the lack of a lift is a big ‘no-no' for many; particularly when rooms are located on several floors and no assistance is offered with the transportation of luggage.
negative:
Staff needs direction.
Everyone is very pleasant but they obviously haven't been shown the ropes. In the restaurant, for instance, there are either too many of them hanging around like unwanted flies or ... when you really want something, they've vanished completely!
negative:
Not a fan of the noise.
If you're unlucky, expect your room to be above a very noisy extractor fan (*kitchen?) This gives up the ghost late at night and then kicks into gear again, early morning.
