Lord Nelson Hotel (Stockholm, Sweden)

Lord Nelson is a family-operated establishment situated in historical part of Stockholm, Gamla Stan (Old Town), very close to major financial and cultural districts of the Swedish capital. Maritime theme dominates this hotel, with many naval collector items displayed throughout the venue. The narrow building (only 7 yards width) originates from 17th century, but was completely refurbished in 1978 by its current owners. There are 29 rooms at this hotel, each named after a historical type of ship, while different floors bear names after various ship decks. Floorboards in the rooms also reinforce the naval theme, but in-room amenities are up to modern standards and include satellite/cable TV, internet access, radio, direct-line phone and central heating. Private bathrooms feature handheld showers and hairdryers. Laundry service can be arranged and non-smoking accommodation is available. Breakfast and light meals are served at Lord Nelson hotel, but there is no restaurant on property, although plenty good ones can be found in the immediate area. Valet parking is available at surcharge, while transfers to the airport can be organized as well.
