positive:
Exceptionally tranquil setting
Many guests were amazed by how tranquil the whole hotel was. Despite being so close to the centre of very busy Siem Reap, it seems the location just a little off the beaten track, and the intelligent inner courtyard design, created a peaceful little oasis in the hubbub of the busy city.
positive:
Pretty decent food
Guests mentioning the onsite Coconut Restaurant in their reviews perfectly happy with the food offered, saying that it offered decent food at very good prices.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Showing a little bit of wear and tear
A number of guests commented that the property was just beginning to show a bit of wear and tear. While not serious, yet, they felt that maintenance should be more active correcting the smaller problems before they turned into big problems.
negative:
Some language issues
A solid minority of guests experienced some sort of communication issue with the staff due to a lack of English language skills on the part of some of them. While guests did eventually muddle through, some felt that all staff in a customer facing positions should be able to speak English at a reasonable level.
negative:
Some drainage issues
Some guests mentioned that after the heavy rain that often falls in the area, the courtyard and paths leading to the rooms can become waterlogged, requiring guests to “wade”, perhaps ankle deep, through standing water to get to their rooms.
