Positive Reviews
positive:
Pacci packs value!
The food at Pacci is superb. So too are the choices. When dining is this good, there's little point going elsewhere. If the weather allows, dining in the romantic courtyard serves to add another memorable dimension. It would be silly, too, to miss out on the free wine hour!
positive:
Exceptional staff.
Staff, generally, are young + a credit to their generation. They are friendly, helpful and dedicated to helping you enjoy your stay to maximum advantage.
positive:
A dog's life!
They don't just welcome pets; they cater for them too with a dog bed, food bowls and 'treats' - just what's needed after a long journey. When it comes to catering for pets .. The Brice takes the lead!
Negative Reviews
negative:
Can't 'smell the coffee'.
Can't understand why, when they've gone to great lengths to cater for multiple requirements - something they've done with impressive degrees of success -there's no coffee maker in the room! Yes, there's free coffee in the morning but if you fancy, or 'need' one in the wee small hours, there's no chance.
negative:
Small complaints.
Everything is small and cramped; the rooms, bathrooms and beds. Surprisingly, too, is the low level of cleanliness. Rooms are OK, but they've received attention at the expense of public corridors, elevators and stairwells. Even the courtyard suffers. There are too many housekeeping storage areas that are in constant full view of guests.
negative:
On the edge of history.
It's on the edge of the desirable downtown area, so it's a walk to historic downtown attractions. Customer service is also rooted in the past. Some staff are exceptionally helpful, whilst others come across as being impersonal and uncaring. Reception and the restaurant are the worst areas for this.
