Positive Reviews
positive:
deal location to explore Paris.
Nothing is too far from Le Walt; there are numerous restaurants, cafes and bars nearby, plenty of attractions within walking distance, including; the Louvre and, of course, the Eiffel Tower, and a Metro Station, providing easy access further afield, directly opposite. Even lone female travellers have felt at home in this safe Parisian neighbourhood.
positive:
Helpful staff go above and beyond.
Staff speak excellent English (perfect for those whose French is a little rusty) and are more than happy to give directions, maps or provide recommendations for the best dining spots in the vicinity. Previous guests have stated that, perhaps because of the hotels small size, it has a personal, family-feel.
positive:
Unexpected extras.
It's the little extras that make all the difference to most guests at Le Walt; linens are high quality, towels are white and fluffy and House of Hermes toiletries are supplied. Rooms can be requested with views of the Eiffel Tower, however, these are few and far between and very popular; guests are advised to book early.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Noise disturbance.
For guests whose rooms were situated at the front of the hotel, noise could be heard from the road and metro. Others, whose rooms faced towards the courtyard, slept soundly but had to compromise on views.
negative:
Compact in size.
Considered the norm for Paris, some guests may find the rooms at Le Walt too compact for their liking. Classic rooms include standard double beds; a possible issue for tall guests, although, deluxe rooms offer King size beds instead.
negative:
Venture out for evening meals.
The hotel does not, at present, offer any option for dining in-house in the evenings (bar room service). There are, however, numerous restaurants nearby, including the highly regarded; Le Florimond and Auberge Bressane- recommended by previous guests.
