Hotel Wolne Miasto Old Town Gdańsk (Gdańsk, Poland)

The hotel is very centrally located in the end of the old town part of the city and guests found it possible to walk to most attractions in the city. The hotel is also close to the railway station and is described as a perfect base to explore the city from. There are several restaurants and pubs close to the hotel as well. Cheap parking is also available close by.

The guest rooms are comfortable and attractively done up. The hotel is described as having character. The hotel restaurant also receives good reviews for serving good food at reasonable prices.

The service and the hotel staff receive largely positive comments from guests who described the staff as friendly and helpful. The rooms are also clean and well looked after by the staff.

For most guests, the lack of air conditioning in the rooms was one of the major problems. Though there are fans in the rooms, the lack of air conditioning meant that guests had to open up their windows which meant that a lot of the street noise carried into the room. The noise from the nightclub also carries so several of the guests needed ear plugs.

The hotel is located in two buildings and there is no connecting passage between the two. So some guests have to travel out and into another building for the breakfast room. It was also pointed out that the hotel doesn’t have a lounge area and that the lobby is rather small.

Elevators not working and problems with bathroom fittings were some complaints reported.
