About Westfield House
Westfield House is 4-star rated and family run. It provides bed and breakfast accommodation in a quiet, residential area of Bristol.
There are just three en-suite bedrooms at Westfield House. They are decorated in classic style and include flat-screen TV, DVD player, free Wi-Fi and tea and coffee facilities.
Off-street parking is available and is free of charge. Children, under the age of 12, are not accommodated.
Breakfast choices, including a full English option, are served in the dining room. There are many restaurants in the near vicinity; nearby Whiteladies Road is a particular restaurant area. Here, restaurants include The Spiny Lobster, Wilks and Valentino.
Sitting in a one-acre garden, this neo-Georgian, Sneyd Park, property is two miles from the University of Bristol and less than three from the city centre. Durdham Downs is half a mile away.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Attention to detail.
In essence, you are entering a family home. The surprising thing is that they've given the same attention to your room as they must have given to their own private accommodation. Rooms are spacious and clean, beds are super large and comfy ... and the shower is top notch!

Breakfast is a feast at Westfield House.
There's no pre-packed, continental style breakfast here. Everything from yoghurts and exotic fruit salads through to the very full English … they're all superb.
positive:
A friendly atmosphere.
They spend a fortune on facilities at large hotels but they can't incorporate the caring, friendly atmosphere that only materialises in family run establishments. The owners are really nice here.

The key to happiness is missing.
OK, there are only a few rooms and the place is run informally by the owners, but there's no confidence in the privacy aspect. You aren't given a key to the front door, or your room and in this day and age … that's unnerving.

Some Bristol Ups … and 'Downs'.
The price you pay for peace and quiet (*and you get that in bucket loads here) is that there are no restaurants within walking distance. There is, though, a good bus service to Whiteladies Road and on the plus side, the B+B is only about half a mile from the attractive Downs area.

Missing out
There are no floodlights and illuminated hotel signs here. The B+B is well set back from the road and as a consequence, is very easy to miss.
