Hotel Villa d'Estrées (Paris, France)

The St-Germain location of this hotel puts guests close to the Saint Michel Metro and RER stations, as very as handy to a wide range of dining options and some of the city’s best shopping. On top of this, guests were happy to be based right on the Left Bank of the Seine, which they said put them within easy striking distance of attractions like the Notre Dame Cathedral.

Guests thought that the Villa d'Estrées was itself a lovely old building, and this character and charm was retained in the comparatively spacious and wonderfully furnished rooms, which were also said to be very comfortable.

Many of those who stayed said the staff proved to be very useful in helping to arrange tickets and other bookings, and also recommended some very good restaurants, in addition to being generally very friendly and welcoming.

Villa d'Estrées’ guests often mentioned that late night and early morning noise can be experienced as the windows open out onto the street, where revellers at the Irish pub next door seem to make a fair bit of noise in the weekend. There can reportedly also be some dawn disturbance from the rubbish trucks, so make sure to take some earplugs with you.
