Good choice for match days
This hotel places you within a 20-minute walk of Anfield and Goodison Park, so whether you're in town to cheers for the reds or the blues, the location is fairly convenient. If you don't fancy the walk, the hotel is situated along a main road where there are plenty of buses.
positive:
Low-cost alternative to city centre hotels
The room rate here is a plus point for many guests. A stay here will certainly see you parting with less cash than you would in a city centre hotel. Of course, you'll need to weigh up the savings against the additional cost of getting into the city.
positive:
Modern looking rooms
The hotel rooms have been recently redecorated, so although a few guests mention that cleanliness could be better, they are frequently described as modern looking. Think Ikea style and you're along the right lines.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Dubious area and parking
A number of guests were rather disenchanted with the immediate neighbourhood, with some finding it unattractive and others feeling unsafe. Also, the hotel's free parking spaces are in a residential street. Guests mention they worried for the security of their vehicle.
negative:
Mixed opinions of service
It seems that a single member of staff lives on the property and takes care of most of the jobs. While he seems to accomplish much of the work satisfactorily, guests who arrived later in the evening sometimes found they had to get him out of bed. While usually friendly, he didn't seem too happy about this!
negative:
Located on a busy road
Several guests mention that their room was subject to some traffic noise from the adjacent road. Also, a guest comments that the curtains in their room were ill-fitting - so much so that people waiting at a nearby bus stop could see into their room.
