Positive Reviews
positive:
Convenient location off the I-10
Considering the I-10 highway is in fact part of the hotel name, it should perhaps come as no surprise that guests mentioned the proximity to the highway as a major benefit. They found it let them reach a number of attractions, and even all the way into Baton Rouge itself, with a minimum of fuss.
positive:
Good value for money
Most guests who brought up the question of value for money reckoned they had received good value. They thought that the room rate was particularly low and that they got a roof over their head in a good part of town in return.
positive:
Reasonably quiet environment
Despite the proximity to the interstate, several guests commented that their rooms were actually fairly quiet. They certainly didn’t feel that any external noise bothered them when they were trying to sleep.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Rude and disrespectful staff
There were far too many guests who mentioned having run-ins with the staff. The problems were numerous, but the gist of them was that guests believed the staff were uninterested in serving them, at best, and actively rude and disrespectful at worst.
negative:
Rooms dirty on check-in
An incredible number of guests reported that their room was quite dirty on check-in. The specific problems ranged from stained carpets to filthy air conditioning vents, but whatever the problems, they made guests feel uneasy at the start of their stay.
negative:
Poor breakfast
Guests really didn’t think much of the breakfast. About the most positive said about it was that it was “something” they could have first thing in the morning. But the food itself was not well liked, with guests saying there was not a wide enough variety to generate any enthusiasm.
