Great location for cheap university visits
If you're looking to visit family members or friends who are studying at the University of Iowa yet don't want to pay too much for the privilege then this is undoubtedly one of the better options around as it's competitively priced and only two miles away from the main campus. Being right by I-80 is a real plus too.
positive:
Rooms are pretty spacious
Many visitors have been pleasantly surprised by the amount of space the rooms here afford. If you're traveling as a group then you won't be disappointed!
positive:
Some pleasant views
Look out from the top floor balcony and you'll be treated to some fine views of Iowa's rolling hills, green fields and big skies. Lovely!
Negative Reviews
negative:
You can hear what your neighbors are up to
The walls separating the accommodations are pretty thin here so you can expect to hear every last detail of what guests staying in nearby rooms are likely to get up to during your stay. Bear in mind that this works both ways!
negative:
Some accommodations are in need of attention
Whilst it is generally the case that the guest rooms are neat, tidy and a pretty good size, it is an unfortunate fact that many of the rooms here look a little tired and worn out.
negative:
Pool is a bit of a let down
It looks nice but, speaking frankly, the hotel's pool is too small for adults to do any actual swimming in and too cold for kids to endure for any significant amount of time. If you're after nothing more than a quick refreshing dip then you'll probably be happy enough.
