Positive Reviews
positive:
Lovely welcome.
The Stables made a fantastic first impression on guests, with a friendly greeting and an offer of a warm cup of tea or coffee and a snack. Guests found that nothing was too much trouble for staff, and said that they would return again, partially due to the great customer service.
positive:
Sublime location.
Guests spoke highly of the location at The Stables. With 800 acres of parkland at your doorstep to explore, it was hard not to find something to do. Guests got to experience nature up close and personal, and wildlife sightings were common, not to mention the pastoral scenes of horses, cows, and sheep grazing beside the ancient trees.
positive:
A room to return to.
Guests gave top marks to expansive and comfortable rooms. Several commented on the tasteful decoration, keeping with the character of the building. Having plenty of room to stretch out was a bonus for many.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Bath, not shower.
While most guests knew ahead of time that their room was without a shower, some were still inconvenienced when trying to wash their hair. Bathtubs were lacking even a hand held shower head, sometimes making it difficult to get ready in the morning.
negative:
Off the beaten path.
Guests loved the middle of nowhere location of The Stables for its peace and tranquility, but what they didn't love was trying to find it. Lack of signage on some roads made it an adventure to get there.
negative:
Technology not up to speed.
Some guests were forced to disconnect from the modern world with Wi-Fi that wasn't the best. But with the peaceful surroundings and charming ambiance, most guests didn't mind.
