Hotel The Saragossa Inn (St. Augustine, USA)

Only two blocks away from Old Town St. Augustine, The Saragossa Inn is a perfect place to stay for exploring the city on foot. Saint George Street, a major shopping and dining destination, is just several blocks away. Parking is hard to find in town but free at the Inn so you will not have to worry about your car during your trip.

The Bed & Breakfast style Inn is made personal by the welcoming, friendly staff. The Inn is their home and they make sure you feel at home too. No special request is too much, the managers are very accommodating.

The three-course brunch is served twice every morning. The chef is attentive to special diets and allergies and will custom prepare the food to your preference.

While most of the decor is made to look vintage deliberately, the facility itself has a lot of history and it shows. Several guests commented that the rooms could use a facelift. The wood floors are creaky, sheets and towels could be renewed, and there is a musty smell lingering in various rooms. The plumbing could use an upgrade too as the water pressure is quite poor.

There is no open front desk outside of check-in time and the managers are often not onsite. However, they are always accessible by phone and attend to any requests or concerns very quickly. Also, the check-in period is limited to a few hours mid-day. Please double check these. If you plan to check-in outside these hours, special arrangements should be made prior to your arrival.

While the rooms are beautiful, they do lack proper lighting. Several guests have mentioned that the rooms were too dark and dimly lit.
