Peace and quiet in a loch side setting.
Folk come to this region for peace and quiet in a spectacular location. They don't go away disappointed. The nearest town of any note is a 15 minute car journey away so peace and quiet is what you'll get. If on a walking break, don't leave until you've taken the Puck's Glen trail.
positive:
The B&B is clean and welcoming.
Rooms are really very well appointed with all the facilities that today's traveller has come to expect. The warmth of the friendly welcome from the proprietor ensures that your visit gets off to a flying start.
positive:
The bistro is a bonus.
Breakfast is excellent in quality and value with a takeaway option if you want to get on the road early. Later, the bistro swings into action with lots of popular favorites, crammed with fresh local produce.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Dining is a bit disappointing.
The food in the bistro isn't as exceptional as the expectation built up in your mind. A bit disappointing and the portions aren't particularly generous. The prices, though, are likely to turn you to drink ... if there was any!
negative:
Pity about the booze
They don't serve alcohol, but you can bring your own. That's a bit of a bind if you forget because there are next to no shops in the vicinity.

Hurry to get to the bright lights of Dunoon
It's the nearest town and a good 20-minute car journey away. The Pier B&B is a good base, though, from which to explore Dunoon and the spectacular Cowal region. Whilst most of us crave peace and quiet, the novelty can wear off for some, after about 20 minutes.
