Super-quiet in the evenings
This budget hotel may be close to Highway 5 and, literally speaking ‘in town’ but you wouldn’t know it. Truly, the peacefulness -- and stillness -- you get around these parts at the end of the day is, at times, really quite lovely.
positive:
Great base for exploring the town on foot
You can pretty much do without your vehicle once you park up in the hotel’s lot as everything worth seeing in Shipshewana: the auction houses, flea markets, events center and visitor center, as well the restaurants and entertainment offerings all lie within an easy stroll.
positive:
Staff members are positive and polite
Many visitors have been impressed by the standard of hospitality afforded during their stay here. Front desk personnel were deemed most worthy of praise.
Negative Reviews
negative:
There’s no elevator
Okay, so there’s only one flight of stairs but that doesn’t really help matters when you’ve got loads of luggage in tow or have some issues with your mobility.

Breakfast room is pretty compact
If you don’t mind munching your breakfast on the move then the lack of available space in the hotel’s quaint little breakfast area is unlikely to bother you much. However, if you are someone who likes the thought of sitting down at an actual table and enjoying your breakfast in a more civilized manner then you might well be disappointed here as the compact dining area only has a handful of tables…

Bathrooms aren’t the best
Numerous guests have been left unimpressed by the state of the bathrooms within some of the accommodations. As well as being small, disappointed visitors highlighted faulty fixtures, rough towels and grubby décor.
