Hotel Suites Colonial (Cozumel, Mexico)

The complimentary buffet breakfast in this property is second to none. Aside from the usual treats like cereals, fruits, bacon, sausages, waffles, pancakes and more, guests are also provided with made-to-order omelette and all sorts of other goodies.

Guests who intended to stay at the hotel for a long duration loved the fully-equipped kitchenette in the rooms. There is a stove and a kettle for cooking, and there is also a fridge for storing foods. Preparing own meals is very possible in this hotel.

The property boasts a very centric location, which previous guests highly admired. It is close to the city centre and just one block from Playa del Carmen Ferry and Punta Langosta Pier. The Museo de la Isla de Cozumel, San Miguel Church, and Central Plaza can all be reached within a five-minute walk.

A lot of guests complained about the loud hum from the air conditioners in their rooms. They said that the sound of the AC unit was annoying, and although it was able to cool their rooms, it prevented them from having a peaceful, problem-free stay.

Previous guests were irritated that they weren't able to enjoy the free Wi-Fi inside their rooms, only in the lobby. They also said that the Wi-Fi kept logging them off while their phone or tablet was on stand-by.

Many of the previous guests also pointed out that the management weren't displaying the correct address of the property online. As a result, guests had difficulties locating it and some of them felt that it should be clear that the hotel was located in a pedestrian area.
