Great location
Being within walking distance of so many restaurants, stores, and attractions is a huge highlight for many guests. You won't be able to walk to all of the city's popular destinations, but none are too far away to cause much of a problem.
positive:
Welcoming staff
Most guests found the staff at the SpringHill Suites Birmingham Downtown to be friendly and welcoming. There do appear to be occasional queues at check-in as one member of staff attempts to manage things on their own, but aside from that issue, the service sounds like it is sufficiently attentive.

Some noise
As this hotel is in the busy downtown area, some noise is likely. Also, several guests comment that they thought the internal soundproofing could be better - as they were able to hear other guests in adjacent rooms.

Occasional disappointment with the shuttle
Although the shuttle is undoubtedly a convenient facility for many guests, a few do mention that they were kept waiting for it to arrive for far longer than they anticipated. Several resorted to calling a cab instead so as not to disrupt their plans.

Queues at breakfast
Although the food served at this hotel is often described as being above average, there does appear to be an issue with overcrowding. A number of guests comment that the service is chaotic simply because of the layout of the dining area. Waiting in line for 30 minutes is not uncommon.
