Get Me To The Ship On Time
Most guests who stayed at the Rodeway Inn & Suites Fort Lauderdale had cruises the following day and said the hotel excels at making sure guests get to the cruise terminal on time with minimum hassle. Guests appreciated the complimentary shuttle service to the terminal and the convenience of leaving their cars in the hotel's lot.

Izzy's Fantastic, Tia Is Too
Izzy, the hotel's general manager, won praise for his energy, enthusiasm and attention to guests' needs. They said he quickly resolved problems, efficiently managed to direct large numbers of people to the appropriate shuttles and did it all with great patience and good humor. Tia, at the front desk, also earned kudos for her friendly and helpful attitude.

The rooms might be basic, but they're newly painted, the beds are clean and comfortable and, according to most guests, the Rodeway Inn & Suites has a quirky and appealing charm. Guests enjoyed the onsite sports bar and restaurant and generally found the hotel a reasonably priced and fun place to start and end a cruise vacation.

A Haul To The Upper Floors
Guests with heavy suitcases found the lack of an elevator a bit of a drag. This was particularly a problem for older guests. Some guests say they were told an elevator is in the works.

Jostling crowds for the shuttles, slow pick-ups and lengthy waits for return shuttles were reported by some guests. Others complained about lengthy delays and confusion at the check-in desk.
