The hotel has been repeatedly mentioned as being very clean and well-maintained. A few guests have had issues with the cleaning standards though. One guest suggested that it would be good to stay in the room while it's being cleaned and to mention to the staff if something is not being done properly.

The location of the hotel is favorable. It's convenient for the Interstate Highway, being situated just off Interstate Route 290. The hotel is also close to a good shopping area, where there are plenty of restaurants and fast food outlets. It's also extremely convenient for Amherst University.

The free Wi-Fi in the hotel is very good sometimes, but there are times when the signal becomes weak. For guests to whom connectivity is vital, this can be a problem.

One of the factors which guests in general find disappointing is that there is no breakfast of any kind, not even a simple continental one, which helps a guest to get started in the morning. There's also no coffee making facility in the room, although it is available in the lobby.

The walls have been described as thin, so it is easy to hear noises from outside and from other rooms in the hotel. For those who want peace and quiet, this is a problem.
