Positive Reviews
positive:
A top notch team...
The staff earn a very high rating for their exceptionally friendly, cheerful, and accommodating attitude. Guests remark that "nothing is too much trouble" for the front desk team, and the housekeeping personnel also earn very high marks for their efforts.
positive:
A home away from home...
The apartments are generally described as very clean, comfortable, and spacious, with all the amenities necessary for a short or long term stay. All rooms offer a balcony (or patio); guests assigned rooms facing the Story Bridge Hotel (and its very popular Shelter Bar) enjoy watching the nightlife. The secure off street parking is also widely appreciated, particularly by those who get a rate with parking included.
positive:
A hop, skip, and a jump to the Hopper...
Guests love the hotel's location in Kangaroo Point, often commenting on the short walk to the City Hopper, a free ferry that runs to the CBD and Southbank, and therefore puts nearly all of Brisbane's charms within easy reach. There are also plenty of options to eat nearby, several with chargeback arrangements.
Negative Reviews
negative:
A little behind the times...
Travellers frequently point out that free Wi-Fi is becoming the norm, and having to pay for the service is irritating, especially if you are travelling with teenagers.
negative:
Light sleepers, take note...
Though many rooms are described as "quiet," those closest to the pub are best for night owls. Some guests have been disturbed by traffic noise from the bridge, too.
negative:
Climate control issues...
Some guests have reported a "stale" odour in the apartment, or uneven heating and cooling throughout the rooms. A small number have also had housekeeping oversights to report.
