Hotel Prinsengracht Studio (Amsterdam, Netherlands)

Thanks to its central location, the Prinsengracht Studio is a great base with which to explore the delights that Amsterdam has to offer. With many popular attractions such as the Van Gogh Museum and Anne Frank House being within walking distance – along with many restaurants, coffee shops and bars – the apartment is right in the middle of the action.

While the apartment is basic for the most part – although features such as a heated marble floor are a nice touch – it is well-equipped for both short and long stays. There are plenty of furniture, storage and kitchen facilities, giving the apartment a distinct ‘homely’ feel – something that has been well received by most previous visitors.

The Wi-Fi at Prinsengracht Studio, which is provided free of charge, has received high praise from past guests. The connection to the Internet is reliable, while download speeds are fast – perfect for getting work done for example.

Although it is to be expected with space being at a premium in Amsterdam, the Prinsengracht Studio is compact in size. With that said, it offers more space than your standard hotel room in the city, and it wasn’t much of a hindrance for past guests.

Although some guests have reported no issues with this particular negative aspect, others have stated that it was difficult to get in touch with the proprietors of the apartment.

One small grievance levelled at the Prinsengracht Studio is that it does not have a lift to the floor of the apartment. As is common with buildings in Amsterdam, the stairs to the property are steep and could be problematic for certain individuals.
