Hotel Playland (Queens, USA)

The staff and the décor of the Playland Motel work to create a unique and quirky ambiance that many guests enjoyed, citing it as being a positive attribute of their stay. The décor and furnishings are stylish and distinctive while being reflective of the hotel's beach setting and the vibrant New York neighbourhood that it is situated in. The staff are personable and friendly, providing great customer service and engaging with their guests to ensure that they feel comfortable and at home in their surroundings.

The hotel's on-site restaurant was near unanimously praised by guests who found the pizza to be delicious and the morning offerings to be equally so. Guests can enjoy their food in unique surroundings and socialize with other guests and staff members while doing so.

Guests can easily access the sandy beach by foot and spend a relaxing day there before returning back to their accommodation with relative ease. The nearby subway station also allows for guests to travel to Manhattan or to JFK Airport in a fairly short time.

Some guests found their beds were uncomfortable and that the mattresses were sagging which did make for a comfortable night's sleep. Many guests felt that the hotel should do away with these mattresses and upgrade them.

The hotel is situated near a popular bar and some guests found that other guests were revelling late into the night and they could hear them through the walls however, the hotel allegedly dispenses earphones to guests.

A number of guests found that their rooms were somewhat grimy and would have preferred that a more thorough cleaning job had been done.
