Superb Location
Located on the piazza in the centre of town guests rave about the view of the harbour and the proximity to most forms of transportation. The hotel is very picturesque and at any given moment there are tourists taking snapshots out front.
positive:
Outstanding Staff
Those who stay at the Piroscafo often come back for a return visit, due in large part to the wonderful staff and hosts. They love to talk about their town, the sights to see, and will often recommend the best restaurants and venues.
positive:
They Speak English
If you are worried that your Italian might be a bit rusty, not to worry. Many of the staff at the hotel also speak very good English. In fact, they'd love to practice speaking with you! They excel at speaking with English speaking guests, explaining local customs, or suggesting interesting dishes to try.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Forget About the Wi-Fi
Guests were sorely disappointed with the Wi-Fi reception that they had in their rooms. It was not much better in the public areas, either. If you need Wi-Fi it is better to go into the city where it is more reliable.
negative:
No Drinks for You
Want to sit out on the lovely terrace after 7pm and enjoy the sights of the harbour? Well, unless you are in rooms 3 or 4, this won't be possible. Apparently, it is public until 7pm, when it converts into a private terrace for those rooms only. This was a big disappointment to many.
negative:
There Will Be Noise
Because of its location there is noise pretty much all of the time. Many of the restaurants and bars are conveniently located nearby, which is also where most of the noise comes from. This is a compromise for the location, so just be aware.
