Those working in the Log Cabin are extremely friendly and efficient. They go out of their way to help their guests and are a wealth of knowledge about places to visit in the locality and the best way to access them.

This accommodation is offers an affordable accommodation option within a beautiful setting. Former guests on the whole find it good value for money. It is no frills accommodation, however, the beds are big and comfortable and rooms come with a bath. The food that is served, both breakfast and other meals is also good quality without a huge price tag.

The walls tend to allow most sound from neighbouring rooms through. Light sleepers may find they’re disturbed by other guests, particularly during busier peak season.

A number of guests had difficulties finding the Log Cabin. Those driving and who have a Sat Nav may want to use it in order to locate the accommodation more easily.

Some had issues with the fixtures and fittings in their rooms not working properly, such as missing light bulbs, dodgy doors and no shower units as standard. Many found that there was a pervasive damp smell in rooms, which lingered on their clothing and on the bedding. However, it appears this accommodation has recently been taken over by new management who are slowly rectifying any areas that require attention.
